KYLE ROMANEK

 

 

 

Emmy Award-Winning Cinematographer, Kyle Romanek, is a film director, cinematographer and editor. He has won two Daytime Emmy awards including one for cinematography alongside a small film team for a short film series featured on OWN. The series was developed into a feature film titled "The Biggest Little Farm" which was shortlisted for the 2019 Academy Awards. Kyle has been making films since he was nine years old. His journey to the Emmy’s began with admittance into Full Sail University's film production Bachelor’s program. This served as the foundation to his gradual understanding of communication, composition and storytelling techniques, as well as artistic concepts.

 

Immediately after graduation, Kyle was accepted into the Creative Minds Filmmaking Institute at the Cannes Film Festival. Inspired and motivated, Kyle set out to direct his first feature film based on a script of his own writing, “Astray." It is now available on Amazon.  Since the release of Astray, Kyle has directed another independent feature film "Arg Stairs" as well as an award-winning T.V. pilot through WMZ Entertainment titled "F.A.M." 

 

Kyle is currently producing commercials for Maryland's largest craft brewery, Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, MD. He started a video production company in 2021, Kapow Video is focused on developing feature-length narrative and documentary films in the field of action sports.
